Workflow solution overview
From parallel processing to conditional flows, @enterprise empowers your organisation with the flexibility and control to drive efficiency at every step. On this page explore how:
- The worklist keeps users on track with a clear overview of all assigned tasks
- Forms capture and manage process-specific information throughout the workflow
- Customisable workflow definitions allow you to model complex processes with ease - whether via script or graphical editor
The worklist
The worklist is the central functional element in the processing of work items. Each user in the system has their own worklist containing all activities that need to be executed.

Forms
An essential element of the @enterprise workflow system, forms are used to manage all process-specific information. There can be one or more forms for each process and its related activities.

Definition of workflows
In @enterprise, workflow specifications are descriptions of business processes that consist of a series of sub-steps, called activities, assigned to specific actors (roles, positions, functions, users). Organisations can define workflows either textually (WDL script) or by using the graphical process editor. The solution offers the following control structures: sequence, if then else, case, choice, while and until, loop, subprocesses, system steps and batch steps (without user interaction), post-conditions, transition triggers, and parallelism (andjoin, orjoin, parfor).

Reporting component
An essential aspect of any workflow system is the ongoing monitoring and analysis of the processes managed by the system. @enterprise includes an integrated reporting component that enables complex statistics and evaluations on process instances through an easy-to-use report definition tool. Compiled search queries can be saved, loaded, executed and edited. Furthermore, users can display query results graphically or export them to various file formats, e.g. Excel or PDF. The reporting component is fully integrated into a system-wide user access control system, providing control over which users can perform which evaluations.
Mobile workflow
@enterprise includes full workflow functionality on mobile devices, extending the reach of the solution to hybrid and remote teams
Document management
@enterprise provides comprehensive document management and workflow capabilities, from standard document processing up to the execution of complex business processes.
