Papua New Guinea to enhance safety-critical airspace network with FREQUENTIS

Papua New Guinea's National Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP), NiuSky Pacific Limited, has selected Frequentis for a pilot project to further improve their critical network infrastructure. The pilot project includes the installation of the vitalsphere portfolio elements at Port Moresby as well as at a remote site. The automatic service level manager, which is designed specifically for the safety-critical ATM domain, performs constant evaluation of each available network connection. With this information it dynamically reroutes single traffic flows to the network, delivering the required performance and quality values for this specific type of traffic with no loss of network service. As a result, the end-to-end availability of each traffic flow is maximised, allowing air traffic controllers to keep the skies open and safe.
