FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) is moving full speed ahead, with:

• The delivery of UIC V2 Specifications
• The launch of the FP2 - Morane2 project in Europe, an EU-Rail co-funded project coordinated by UIC with the participation of 12 European railways and 13 product manufacturers, UNIFE and two Mobile Network Operators
• The expansion of FRMCS initiatives beyond Europe

As the next major transformation in railway communications, FRMCS will be a key driver of digitalization—enhancing train security, punctuality, services and capacity. It will be the enabler for the intelligent digital train, leading then to traffic optimization and performance improvement.
