Airports and Airlines

Frequentis leads the way with innovative solutions for traffic management and collaboration. Our solution portfolio is a set of integrated applications, covering the entire flight value chain.

The Frequentis airport products are key enablers for the most effective collaboration between airports, airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers to reduce costs for all stakeholders, achieve their performance objectives, and increase passenger satisfaction. Our portfolio enables optimised flight planning as well as the digital airport through its solutions for improved workflow management, Airport Collaborative Decision-Making (Airport CDM) and the Airport Operations Plan (AOP).

Demand Capacity Balancer

The Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) is the world’s first Airport Operations Plan (AOP) management tool. The solution provides a powerful digital twin of airport operations and significantly extends the current planning horizon of Airport CDM to support the AOP implementation in Europe and globally. DCB enables information sharing and integration with the Network Operations Plan (NOP), for example through its unique capability to calculate Target Times of Arrival (TTA).

Stand Optimiser

The Stand Optimiser manages stand planning and allocation at airports. It improves stand utilisation through KPI-based optimisation and what-if capability, resulting in better airport efficiency and increased capacity. Its unique capability to integrate with our Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) helps to connect airport airside and landside information and contributes to the Airport Operations Plan (AOP) for early and proactive performance management by all airport stakeholders.

Pre-Departure Sequencer

The Pre-Departure Sequencer (PDS) cuts taxi times and improves sequence and departure time predictability. PDS delivers all the capabilities needed for Airport-Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM). By optimising push back times, airports can reduce taxi times, enhance sequence and departure time predictability, and cut queues.

Aeronautical Data Quality - smartADQ

Upstream, data origination at airports is being supported through the correct formatting and verification of the completeness of all data according to the latest requirements and regulations from ICAO, Eurocontrol or the EC. A flexible workflow engine allows third-party originators to manage data in a true collaborative manner while internal departments and teams are constantly informed about the current status of tasks and the respective data.

Optimised flight planning

Downstream, airlines can rely on the correct automatic ingest of data to run their data engines and optimisation tools. While all regulatory requirements are fulfilled and data structures are applied according to international standards, the flexibility of the solution allows the addition of data and business rule extensions to manage and process additional data that is especially crucial in the airline industry.

EUROCONTROL MUAC fallback operations

FREQUENTIS to ensure greater airspace safety and capacity for EUROCONTROL MUAC fallback operations

  • Safety and airspace capacity will be enhanced at one of Europe’s busiest and most complex airspaces
  • The Fallback Controller Working Position (CWP) follows Single European Sky open data interface principles
  • Based on the Frequentis OneATM user interface framework ODS Open Platform, the CWP ensures resilient operations even at high traffic volumes

EUROCONTROL, MUAC, one of the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) of four EUROCONTROL member states – Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, selected Frequentis to provide its CWP as part of the MUAC fallback automation system. To ensure a high airspace capacity during fallback operations, while maintaining safety levels, EUROCONTROL's primary CWP will be mirrored by the fallback system, enabling controller requirements to be met in a similar way.
