FREQUENTIS and DSNA go live with new voice system at Brest Area Control Centre, France

  • French DSNA and Frequentis deliver a new voice communication system to enhance air traffic safety, resilience, and coordination in western France
  • The system is now fully operational following regulatory approval, marking a key milestone in the joint modernisation programme

Frequentis and the French air navigation service provider Direction des Services de la Navigation Aérienne (DSNA) have announced the full operational status of the new voice communication system at the Brest Area Control Centre (ACC). The system supports more flexible, reliable air traffic management across France and Europe.

The project is part of the Functional Airspace Block Europe Central (FABEC) voice communication system programme, developed in cooperation with EUROCONTROL’s Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC). Frequentis supplied its VCS3020X system, tailored to meet DSNA’s requirements.
