Mission Critical Services in control rooms

Richer mission critical communications, safely introduced

The introduction of Mission Critical Services (MCX) enables richer communication with first responders: better information translates into better responses. As with any new technology, MCX needs to roll out alongside existing technologies to ensure that business processes and workflows are seamlessly updated. Frequentis offers a proven low-risk, low-disruption adoption path for MCX through our 3GPP-compliant MissionX solution.

Modern communication for critical operations

MCX is a modern communication standard designed to support the demanding requirements of safety-critical industries such as public safety. In addition to providing all-IP, data-rich communication that enhances situational awareness, MCX ensures clear, timely and secure messaging between control rooms and public safety responders. In combination with Next Generation 112 (NG112), it enables members of the public to provide photos and videos from the scene of incidents, helping operators in control rooms to take better decisions.

Introducing broadband without disruption

When introducing any new technology into a safety-critical environment, a key challenge is to avoid disruption to existing services. Adding broadband capabilities must not come at the cost of interrupting legacy communication methods or disrupting existing operational workflows.

Bridging new and legacy technologies

Building on our deep understanding of public safety requirements, Frequentis has designed an MCX solution with an integrated “InterWorking Function” (IWF) as specified in the 3GPP standard. In practical terms, this means that our technology is ready to support cross-technology, mission-critical communication on 4G/5G networks alongside older systems such as TETRA, P25 and LMR.

A controlled path to MCX

With Frequentis, public safety organisations can choose a 3GPP-compliant MCX solution that works seamlessly with existing control room technologies and workflows. They can quickly and non-disruptively take advantage of MCX while preparing phase-out their legacy technologies in a controlled, low-risk way.

MissionX

It unifies mission-critical voice, video, data and multimedia in a single 3GPP-compliant MCX platform for public safety, disaster relief and critical infrastructure. Operating across public, private and hybrid 4G/5G networks, MissionX supports rich, reliable communication and real-time situational awareness for control rooms and field teams.

LifeX

Give operators the context they need, within the workflows they already know. 3020 LifeX helps control rooms handle voice, text, multimedia, and partner-system data in one environment, so operators can respond with better awareness while organisations adopt next-generation technologies at their own pace.

ASGARD

Supports incident and emergency management teams in Germany with integrated communication, dispatching and operational tools. Its intuitive interface and reliable performance help first responders and control room staff to coordinate their work smoothly, even in high-pressure situations.

Connectivity Suite

Our Connectivity Gateways unify legacy and next generation radio technologies, enabling secure, high availability interoperability across analogue, TETRA, P25 and MCX, while supporting efficient mixed infrastructure operations and smooth migration to mission critical broadband.
