Düsseldorf Airport: extended use of Pre-Departure Sequencer

Flughäfen der Zukunft: FREQUENTIS und Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt heben mit Multiple Remote Tower-Konzept ab

Traditionelle Tower an Flughäfen könnten schon bald von sogenannten Multiple Remote Tower-Modulen ersetzt werden. Diese Module befinden sich in einer vom Flughafen entfernten Tower-Zentrale und ermöglichen die Flugsicherung für mehrere Flughäfen von einem Standort aus. Möglich gemacht wird das durch die Zentralisierung der Flugverkehrsdienste und die Bündelung von Ressourcen für eine gesteigerte Effizienz.

Ein im Rahmen von SESAR entwickelter Prototyp wurde von Frequentis und dem Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) für Validierungen in Deutschland aufgebaut und getestet. Die Highlights wurden beim SESAR Online Open Day, veranstaltet von Frequentis, Ende 2021 gezeigt.

Dieses Projekt wird durch das SESAR Joint Undertaking im Forschungs- und Innovationsprogramm "Horizon 2020" der Europäischen Union im Rahmen der Fördervereinbarung Nr. 874470 finanziert.

While all regulatory requirements are fulfilled and data structures are applied according to international standards, the flexibility of the solution allows the addition of data and business rule extensions to manage and process additional data that is especially crucial in the airline industry.

Upstream, data origination at airports is being supported through the correct formatting and verification of the completeness of all data according to the latest requirements and regulations from ICAO, Eurocontrol or the EC. A flexible workflow engine allows third-party originators to manage data in a true collaborative manner while internal departments and teams are constantly informed about the current status of tasks and the respective data.
