How to start up: FREQUENTIS and ONDEWO developed artificial intelligence prototype for emergency calls and voice automation

The right cooperation partner at the right time is often key to success: Frequentis started a cooperation with ONDEWO, an Austrian high-tech start-up developing advanced artificial intelligence algorithms for enabling machines to engage with humans in natural voice conversation, through Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) Industry-Startup.Net.

“We are particularly proud that we were able to increase revenues by nearly 10% in these challenging times. The restrictions due to the pandemic, especially the travel restrictions, could not hold us back,” says Frequentis’ CEO, Norbert Haslacher. “In addition, we managed to complete the transaction with the US group L3Harris Technologies, the biggest acquisition in our company’s history, in just over five months."

The acquisition of the ATC Solutions business unit of L3Harris was strategically important for Frequentis. Whilst it strengthens the air traffic management portfolio, it also results in Frequentis taking on the responsibility for the Main Voice System and Arrivals Manager System for NATS.

FREQUENTIS: Ten years of the Frequenty-Kinderwochen children’s activity programme

Enabling employees to combine work and family life is very important to Vienna-based high-tech company Frequentis. For ten years, the company has organised the “Frequenty-Kinderwochen”, a varied two-week summer activity programme for employees’ children aged between 4 and 12.

FREQUENTIS: Acquisition of Australian-based C4i complements Frequentis global Defence portfolio

“We are delighted that with the closing for C4i we completed the transaction with L3Harris in such a short time. As a new entity of the Frequentis Group, C4i will significantly reinforce Frequentis capabilities in the very important Australian and US markets for multi-domain cyber secure Defence communications,” says Frequentis’ CEO Norbert Haslacher.
