Integrated dispatch and communications for modern fire services
Fire services need reliable, intuitive systems to manage routine operations and emergency response. Frequentis integrates command and control, dispatch, and multimedia communications, enabling efficient coordination within fire services and with other emergency organisations. Fire and rescue services respond not only to fires, but also to chemical spills, road traffic incidents, floods, and other major emergencies. Their work also includes promoting fire safety and inspecting premises for compliance with fire protection standards.
Safe and effective operations depend on clear situational awareness and the ability to coordinate personnel, vehicles, and equipment quickly. As new technologies and multimedia communication channels enter the control room, operators gain access to richer information, but must also manage more systems, tools, and data.
When these systems operate in isolation, frontline personnel must manually combine information and workflows. This increases cognitive load and can lead to delays, errors, and operator stress, particularly during complex or time-critical incidents.
Frequentis addresses these challenges through an integrated, open, and flexible approach to incident management, communication, and dispatch. A single interface brings together core fire service functions, helping operators access relevant information, make informed decisions, and coordinate the appropriate response. The solution integrates best-of-breed Frequentis and third-party applications within one unified environment. This streamlines routine operations while providing the resilience, flexibility, and scalability required to manage major incidents and peak operational demands.
Project ADELE: Drone as a first responder, Germany
Rostock Fire Brigade’s ADELE (Automated Drone Deployment from the Control Centre) project puts the Drone as a first responder approach into practice. Automatically dispatched from the control centre, 5G-controlled drones provide live incident images before emergency teams arrive, supporting faster, safer, and better-informed decisions.
