Automation

Frequentis automation solutions are designed to increase efficiency, enhance situational awareness, and support safe decision-making across both tower and centre operations.

PRISMA is our centre-focused automation platform, optimised for en-route, approach, and contingency environments.

TowerX is our new integrated automation solution for towers – designed to streamline controller workflows and unify key functionalities such as routing, guidance, surveillance, flight data, and visualisation.

The legacy tower products smartSTRIPS, smartTOOLS, smartVISION, and TowerPad have been integrated into TowerX, enabling a unified development approach, harmonised interfaces, and consistent compliance and lifecycle management. For more details on these modules, please refer to the TowerX product page.

For simulation and training, Avator provides a virtual tower environment for testing, validation, and onboarding.

In parallel, GuardX, our advanced recording solution, ensures comprehensive capture and replay of all automation and communication streams – supporting analysis, training, and incident investigation.

Products and solutions

PRISMA

The PRISMA product family offers a full range of ATM modules designed to support the most varied use-case scenarios, ranging from standalone solutions to integrated surveillance and flight plan data processing systems. PRISMA’s fully expandable and modular architecture enables the continuous addition of functionality, supporting a buy-as-you-grow approach. Based on our extensive experience in advanced air traffic automation systems, PRISMA can be easily integrated with 3rd-party components.

TowerX

Frequentis’ integrated tower automation solution, designed to simplify complexity and support smarter, more efficient air traffic control.

AVATOR

In safety-critical ATM environments, effective controller training depends on easy access to top-quality simulation environments. However, this can be difficult to achieve given the practical limitations of facilities which may be relatively small or remote. ATRiCS AVATOR is a highly flexible 3D tower simulation platform that airports and air traffic controllers can rely on.

GuardX

GuardX is a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art recording solution designed to address the evolving demands of safety-critical environments. With an array of recording sources, GuardX ensures comprehensive coverage, capturing all essential data for analysis and review in various environments. Its user-friendly interface makes the replay of recordings a seamless experience, empowering users to extract valuable insights efficiently.

Airport SUITE

AirportSUITE is a modular solution suite designed by Frequentis to specifically support the Airport Operations Centre (APOC) and enhance coordination across apron and terminal-side processes.

Qatar’s air traffic controllers gain improved situational awareness through FREQUENTIS and Bayanat collaboration

  • A next-generation integrated display brings weather, aerodrome, runway, and support systems together on one screen – one source of truth
  • Controllers benefit from improved situational awareness, simplified workflows, and faster decision-making
  • The project advances QCAA’s vision for a fully connected, future-proof OneATM ecosystem while marking another milestone in the 20-year Bayanat–Frequentis partnership

The new system unifies every critical data point, providing air traffic controllers with a unified operational picture, integrating weather, aerodrome, runway, and support information into a single, harmonised interface. This will significantly enhance situational awareness, safety, and operational efficiency at Qatar’s air traffic control centres and airports. This will empower controllers with faster, clearer decision-making as Qatar’s aviation sector continues to grow.

“We are honoured by QCAA’s continued trust,” said Hasan Ezzeddine, Managing Partner at Bayanat Engineering Qatar. “This project reflects our commitment to future-driven ATM innovations and reinforces our strategic partnership with Frequentis. Together, we are building the next generation of connected, efficient, and resilient air traffic operations for the State of Qatar.”

ATCA Connect 2026, FREQUENTIS @ Booth 509
02.03.2026 - 04.03.2026
Charleston, South Carolina

When we gather in March for ATCA Connect, it will mark 70 years since ATCA was founded by a group of air traffic controllers who were committed to progress and safety.

Our discussions in Charleston will reflect that same commitment, in line with the organization's future-facing approach. They will feature leaders from the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of War as we navigate the future of aviation in a focused, collaborative setting.
