Solutions to the key challenges in public safety today

Emergency services and other public safety organisations share a common challenge: allocating limited resources as effectively as possible to address a growing volume and a variety of incidents in a less predictable environment. With decades of experience and innovation leadership, Frequentis has identified four key focus areas in which our technology and expertise contribute to public safety.

Complete control room solutions

To counteract rising complexity in control rooms, Frequentis provides technology to integrate all processes and workflows into a single set of tools - for efficient operations. This approach allows for ongoing evolution at low risk.

Total conversation

Frequentis enables NG112 through a standards‑based approach, ensuring interoperability, secure IP routing, and seamless control room integration. Total Conversation protects investments, avoids vendor lock‑in, and supports future integration with audio, RTT, and video -strengthening accessibility and operational effectiveness.

Mission Critical Services in control rooms

The introduction of Mission Critical Services (MCX) will enable richer communications and better situational awareness - while creating deployment and migration challenges. Frequentis offers a proven low-risk, low-disruption adoption path for MCX.

Drone as a first responder

Drones are becoming increasingly commonplace as organisations discover the benefits of deploying them for tasks that are time-critical, dangerous or lengthy for human teams. To simplify their operational integration and empower existing dispatchers to use them, Frequentis offers automated drone dispatch and management solutions, backed by our Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) expertise.

Hamburg fire brigade optimises storm response with FREQUENTIS technology for emergency call prioritisation

  • Frequentis technology enables the Hamburg fire brigade to respond swiftly and effectively during severe weather events
  • An innovative voice response system allows for efficient prioritisation of emergency calls, significantly reducing response times

The Hamburg fire brigade is increasingly challenged by a temporary rise in emergency calls during extreme weather events. In total, the Hamburg fire brigade receives around one million calls per year. In crisis situations, such as severe weather conditions, the number of callers can rise significantly within a short period of time. With Frequentis' LifeX communication system, the organisation is better equipped to respond faster and more precisely during critical situations. This system is also used by the Hamburg police, functioning as the central communication platform in their control centres.

“Given the increasing frequency of extreme weather events, we consider our collaboration with the Hamburg fire brigade to be groundbreaking,” says Marcel Haar, Managing Director of Frequentis Germany. “We are proud to contribute to a faster and more efficient emergency response in Hamburg with this innovative solution, ensuring the department is well-prepared for future operational needs.”
