Frequentis AG in Vienna has successfully achieved registration under the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), one of Europe’s most demanding environmental management frameworks.

EMAS builds on the international ISO14001 standard but goes significantly further. It requires organisations to assess their environmental impacts, ensure legal compliance, define improvement measures, and transparently report on their environmental performance through an annual Environmental Statement. Registration follows an independent validation process conducted by an accredited environmental verifier.

This achievement is the result of the dedication and collaboration of colleagues across the organisation. Frequentis would like to thank everyone who contributed to this important step.

Frequentis has significantly improved its EcoVadis sustainability rating from Bronze to Silver, achieving a score of 78/100 and placing it among the top 15% of companies assessed worldwide by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is one of the world's leading providers of sustainability ratings, evaluating companies across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessment provides an independent evaluation of a company's sustainability management system, policies, actions, and performance.

The EcoVadis Silver Medal recognises the progress Frequentis has made in further strengthening its sustainability management approach and advancing its ESG ambitions across the Group. This achievement reflects the collective efforts of employees across various functions and locations who contribute to the company's sustainability journey.

Compared to the previous assessment, Frequentis improved its overall score, demonstrating its commitment to continuously enhancing environmental, social, and governance performance. The Silver Medal marks an important milestone and encourages further progress towards the company's long-term sustainability objectives.

Frequentis has been awarded its first ESG rating by MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International), achieving a strong ‘A’ rating on the ESG scale ranging from AAA to CCC.

MSCI is one of the world’s leading providers of financial market indices, research, and ESG ratings. The ratings analyse companies’ performance in the areas of environmental, social, and governance factors and demonstrate how effectively ESG risks are managed compared to industry peers. For investors, analysts, and partners, the rating provides a transparent, independent assessment of sustainability performance.

This initial assessment by MSCI confirms the progress made in the areas of environmental, social and governance factors and enhances Frequentis’s appeal in the capital markets.

At Frequentis, ideas and suggestions from all employees are a central part of the corporate culture. This is supported by a continuous improvement process and an active suggestion scheme within quality management. Since 2014, the company-wide IDEAS platform allows employees to submit their ideas and track their implementation transparently. Every submission is developed further collaboratively.

Participation remained high in 2025: 47 colleagues submitted a total of 59 ideas. As a token of appreciation, the Frequentis Executive Board once again hosted the traditional IDEAS breakfast.

The consistently high level of participation demonstrates that IDEAS is a key component of the innovation and quality culture at Frequentis.

As a company operating in a safety-critical environment, Frequentis places particular emphasis on one thing: reliable partners and long-term collaboration. This is because stable supplier relationships are a key factor in the success of our projects.

When selecting our suppliers, we consider not only quality, price, and service, but also ethics, fair working conditions, and environmental protection. These principles are clearly enshrined in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Code for Suppliers and Subcontractors.

Once a year, the Frequentis Executive Board honours the top three suppliers for their outstanding performance in the previous year. For 2025, the awards went to KSG Austria GmbH, Puls GmbH, and Infosim GmbH & Co. KG.

In addition, a Sustainability Award was once again presented for exceptional commitment in the field of ESG. In 2025, this recognition went to Fujitsu / FSAS Technologies for consistently strong contributions to sustainability through energy-efficient IT solutions, a rigorous circular economy approach, high social standards in the supply chain and transparent, internationally recognised ESG management – particularly relevant for companies with high requirements in security- and infrastructure-sensitive sectors.
