TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) is the open standard for digital land mobile radio communications. It is designed to meet the needs of the highly demanding professional mobile radio networks (PMR) as used by Public Safety organisations, Utilities, Transport, Military, Railways, and others.

Frequentis features capacious TETRA related experience and know-how from many years of successful activities in Public Safety command and control centres, interfacing to legacy radios and TETRA systems delivered by several vendors, as well as long term co-operation and partnerships with important TETRA manufacturers such as Motorola and EADS/Nokia. The company also participated in the development of TETRA-specification by ETSI.

As a member of the TETRA MoU Association, Frequentis is keeping an eye on current TETRA trends and developments, thus providing a state-of-the-art expertise for the supply of Frequentis solutions for police, ambulance services and fire brigades.
