The most stringent assessments carried out on Frequentis products are briefly described below:

Swanwick Centre (NATS, UK)
A full system safety programme was conducted in accordance with the Defense Standards DEF-STAN 00-56 and DEF-STAN 00-55 under the leadership of the prime contractor Lockheed-Martin and the NATS System Integrity Team on one of the biggest civil 3020 systems Frequentis ever built. The conditions included functional safety requirements assigned to voice communication, identified mitigating features, recommended procedures, and many hazards. Nevertheless, nothing led to changes in the existing architecture. The verification proved and documented that the system guarantees high safety and integrity.

CAATS VSCS (NAV Canada)
A shortened hazard assessment was made on the series of systems delivered to Canada. This assessment was carried out in conjunction with the prime contractors system safety program (Raytheon), whose scope was to provide a complete CAATS system safety case to NAV Canada. The assessment focused on the customisation of the VCS 3020 for specific Canadian requirements.

TALK (Swedish Civil Aviation Administration)
TALK, the subproject for the voice communication system within the MATS (Modernisation of Air Traffic Services) project of the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration. A whole system safety assessment according to the EATMP Safety Assessment Methodology and NUREG 0492, which provides guidance on fault tree analysis, has been carried out in cooperation with the customer Luftfartsverket. The project comprised ATCCs and TWR controlsThe consequence of all these assessments paired with an already representative amount of operational time of all fielded VCS 3020 and VCS 3025 systems is a mature and inherently safe system architecture.

NMC (Network Rail, UK)
The project NMC (Network Management Centre) represented an extensive safety case which was processed according to the required CENELEC standards. The contract award was based on the compliance assessment against the required Safety Integrity Level.

Military Projects
Frequentis can look back on several safety cases according to military standards. Because of the great sensitivity of information concerning such projects details on the projects have to be excluded here.
