| Vienna hosts the TETRA World Congress for the first time – a resume December 2004: The TETRA World Congress (TWC) is one of the most important platforms in the TETRA business. The IIR, the host of the event, and the TETRA MoU Board invited all participants to Vienna (Austria Center) this year. Frequentis took part as an exhibitor and also was in charge of smooth radio communications throughout the event.

| TETRA digital trunked radio: FREQUENTIS sends a signal from Vienna September 2004: Frequentis, a high-tech company and TETRA technology supplier based in Vienna, began operating a Vienna-wide TETRA radio network open to all private and public users in June 2004. First customer for the Vienna TETRA network is Wiener Lokalbahnen AG, with about 15 million passengers per year one of main transport providers for Vienna and the southern catchment area of the federal capital.

In order to guarantee an electricity supply day and night, Energie AG Oberösterreich operates a virtually country-wide radio network.
