the contract for the provision of maritime rescue communication service: Together with its
prime contractor Abertis Telecom, the Austrian headquartered high tech company Frequentis

The Water and Shipping Authority, Wasser- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Bremen ordered an innovative communication system for its traffic management centre. The WSA Bremen is responsible for monitoring all maritime traffic around the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in Northern Germany, right near the North Sea.

| Shipping Accident in Norway: FREQUENTIS-systems on red alert! March 2004: At the end of January we had the painful certainty: on January 21st, a vessel cap-sized near Bergen. At the time of the accident „Radio Bergen" of the Norwegian Kystradio (operated by TELENOR Maritime Radio) was manned with one operator only. Immediately this station with all its resources was routed/shared to „Rogaland Radio" in Stavanger to back the operator of „Radio Bergen" on the spot.

| Schiffsunglück in Norwegen: FREQUENTIS-System im Noteinsatz! Jänner 2004: Bei Bergen (Norwegen) war am
Nachmittag des 21.Jänner ein Frachtschiff gekentert. Zum Zeitpunkt des Unglücks war die Station
in Bergen (eine der neun Küstenfunkstationen des norwegeischen Coastal Radio Networks) mit
nur einer Person besetzt. Sofort wurde diese Station mit allen Ressourcen (Radios, Telefonleitungen,
DSC, Watchkeeping, ...) nach der Zentrale in Rogaland geroutet bzw. geshared, um
den Operator vor Ort zu unterstützen.
