November 2008: Six months after Frequentis has been contracted to supply the communication equipment for the Area Control Centre (ACC) Oslo the factory acceptance test was now completed successfully. October 2008: A significant milestone was reached between BAS Serco Ltd. and Frequentis with the contract signature for the replacement of the existing voice communication system for the island of Bermuda.

FREQUENTIS USA completes Upgrade of ARINC’s AOC and ATC Voice Service Centers
October 2008: After contract award by ARINC in 2006 to upgrade their voice service centers in San Francisco and New York with a new air-to-ground and ground-to-ground voice switch Frequentis completed installation of its latest voice communication system VCS3020 in August 2008. The new Frequentis system provides operators with a customized user interface and advanced audio functions improving operations and increasing efficiency.

FREQUENTIS VCS 3020X Release 6.0
September 2008: Frequentis VCS 3020X Release 6.0 has been made available as of June 2008. EUROCAE expertise allows Frequentis to stay on its IP-migration path and increase the usability of the extended advantages IP-technology yields today.

August 2008: In February 2008, NATS chose the Austrian based high tech company Frequentis as their preferred supplier for the Electronic Flight Data in NATS centres in Scotland and the Terminal Control Centre in Swanwick.

CAAS decided for FREQUENTIS - Singapore Changi Airport is to be equipped with the proven VCS 3020X
July 2008: The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has awarded the contract for the communication part of its new air traffic control system to Frequentis. Thus, Changi Airport, the main airport in Singapore and a major aviation hub in Asia, is to be equipped with a voice communication system and a recording system by Frequentis.

FREQUENTIS – Country-wide Voice/Data Network for Airways New Zealand
May 2008: Globally unique Air Traffic Control network operates successfully
In 2005 the Air Navigation Service Provider of New Zealand, Airways New Zealand, put Frequentis in charge of implementing a country-wide network to connect Airways’ voice and data communications between radio, radar, control towers and radar centres throughout New Zealand. The network was successfully completed in April 2008. Airways New Zealand, stated full satisfaction during the recent project close-down meeting.

May 2008: HungaroControl Pte. Ltd. Co. commissions Frequentis to reequip ACC Budapest
The communication facilities at ACC Budapest will be fully upgraded by 2009. Safe flight management depends on the implementation of the very highest technological standards. Frequentis, a specialist in communication and information systems for safety-critical applications, is HungaroControl’s partner on the refurbishment project.

March 2008: Norwegian air navigation service provider AVINOR places contract for ACC Oslo with the Austrian based company
Frequentis has been chosen to supply the communications equipment for the Area Control Centre (ACC) Oslo. The world-market leader for Voice Communication Systems in Air Traffic Control will supply four systems which are to go operational already in January 2009.

RENAR – The first IP network in air traffic control
March 2008: French air traffic control revamps its voice and data communication network
Frequentis received the framework contract for an IP-based voice network in early January 2008. NextiraOne is the prime contractor on the wider project overseeing the complete renewal of the basic network.

European AIS Database EAD: T-Systems is outsourcing partner
March 2008: Frequentis has awarded T-Systems a five-year contract with an option to renew for the basic operation of the European air traffic control database EAD (European Aeronautical Information Services Database).

FREQUENTIS to supply Voice Communication Systems to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
January 2008: In December 2007 Frequentis has received a contract from Haji Abdullah Alireza and Company Limited (GENTEC Division). As part of the Communication Enhancement Program being supplied to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) by GENTEC, Frequentis will supply the Voice Communication Systems (VCS) for the Air Traffic Control towers at Bisha, Najran and Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
