State Police of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern New Paths to even more Security

FREQUENTIS delivers state-of-the-art networked communication solutions for five command and control centres

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern "Landesamt für die innere Verwaltung" (State Authority for Internal Administration) ordered Frequentis to provide the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state police with an emergency call and radio system in April 2008.

The state police of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern enter new paths on the way to even more security. A decisive factor in reaching this goal is the use of sophisticated information and communication technology which will increasingly simplify and facilitate the work of the officials.

Command and Control Centre
The next important step along these paths is the equipping of the command and control centres of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state police with state-of-the-art networked communication systems. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state authority thus commissioned Frequentis in April 2008 to provide an emergency call handling and radio system. As specialist for communication and information systems, Frequentis came through the tender process as the right partner for this substantial project. The convincing argument in favour of Frequentis was the cost-effective and sophisticated concept for this project.

The schedule is extremely tight since the new communication infrastructure is planned to be ready for service in April 2009. During the entire project phase, which will last for about one year, Frequentis will be responsible for the complete delivery, installation, and system integration and, subsequently, for all maintenance services.
