Factory Acceptance Test
Six months after Frequentis has been contracted to supply the communication equipment for the Area Control Centre (ACC) Oslo the factory acceptance test was now completed successfully. The world-market leader for voice communication systems in air traffic control supplies a VCS solution which will go operational in January 2009.
The order
Frequentis managed a challenging time schedule successfully when the Austrian high tech company passed the FAT for the new communication solution for the Area Control Centre Oslo. The order covers four systems VCS 3020X with 115 working positions and two VCS network nodes, contracted by the Norwegian air navigation service provider Avinor.
Special features of the new system are a complex redundancy concept - the main system and the backup system are running in synchronous processing - and the telephone routing via VCX. The site acceptance test is planned already for January 2009, end of January 2009 the systems will go live.
Reference projects
With this most recent order by Avinor Frequentis continues its success story in Norway: In the past few years, Frequentis already equipped the ACC Bodø and the Tower/Approach Trondheim with its proven VCS technology. With this project for the ACC Oslo, the Austrian communication specialist Frequentis further strengthens its position in the North of Europe.
