Automated Identification System (AIS) is the technological basis for the Frequentis product family of Tracking & Tracing Systems. T&T Systems enable a wide range of services for coastal waterway management and river information services and are the data communication backbone for the Frequentis Maritime Domain Awareness Services.
Automatic Information System (AIS) - Waterway between Belgium and Netherlands
Delivery of a Tracking & Tracing System (T&T) based on AIS with AtoN base station for offshore wind park and for position recognition, which has been integrated into the existing RADAR chain network. The position- and identification information of all vessels on the Belgium coast, on the Schelde River to the port of Antwerp and the Gent-Terneuzen Canal is merged with the existing RADAR tracks and distributed to all Belgium and Flanders VTS centers. The project comprises a total of 5 redundant regional control centers in Vlissingen, Zeebrugge, Zandvliet, Terneuzen and Hanswert and a redundant national control center in Zandvliet. AIS data for the external user MRCC Oostende.
Automatic Information System (AIS) for Wasser und SchifffahrtsAmt (WSA) – Kiel Canal, Germany
Realization of an AIS based traffic management system including software based graphical planning tool and mobile AIS transponder units for visualization a “Way Time diagram”. The solution comprised 2 redundant centres with 5 sites.
River Information Service (RIS) - DoRIS, Austria
DoRIS (Donau River Information Service) – an information system for inland navigation. Countrywide rollout, with 1 national centre, 9 local centres at the locks and 23 base stations. External users via WEB interface, border control, water level control and passenger services.
