The new concept - Frequentis i-volution - puts all benefits that state-of-the-art technology provides at your fingertips. Now a combination of proven circuit switched (TDM) as well as packet-based (IP) communications in one unified system environment is possible. Unrivalled interoperability between services and different transport technologies provides you with the flexibility to use the best suited solution for each individual application.
The FREQUENTIS i-volution concept means:
Highly available systems with proven services and new services enabled by IP
Standardised protocols and components especially designed for safety-critical applications
Network Centric Solutions based on most common transport technologies
Packet Switching (IP)
Circuit Switching (TDM)
Cell Switching (ATM)
All FREQUENTIS i-volution products integrate:
IP Routing/Switching facilities AND
Distributed TDM Switching with a maximum of 6000 Timeslots
Scalable processing power
Further facts about the FREQUENTIS i-volution concept:
Gateways between different networks including VoIP/TDM Gateways
VoIP signalling based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
Including features to minimise delay due to IP voice packetisation (<20 ms for end-to-end excluding telecom network delays)
Close connection with EUROCAE Working Group 67 activities (FREQUENTIS is active member in this working group)
Fast and reliable PTT signalling based on mechanisms provided by the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)
An architecture for extended radio services (frequency coupling, coverage, …) via IP networks
Efficient use of network resources by using IP-multicast mechanisms
Overall network and component management paired with well proven Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms
Finally, increased flexibility in all kind of operations
