SEAMLESS INTEGRATION OF AIRSIDE OPERATIONS

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the improvement of the planning and management of airport operations, together with their full and seamless integration in the overall air traffic management through exchange of information between stakeholders, are crucial elements in achieving performance targets for the most congested and complex airport operations. With our proven track record and award-winning experience, we help airports to manage their airside operations and enable airport stakeholder collaboration during tactical, pre-tactical and strategic planning phases.

Our solutions enhance planning and management of operations at airports around the globe for maximised airport capacity, efficiency, environmental sustainability and predictability. For instance, our Airport Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) solution is the world’s first AOP management tool that complies with the ICAO aviation system block upgrades (ASBU), the European common project one (CP1) regulation and the ground coordinator concept of the Airports Council International (ACI).


Demand Capacity Balancer

The Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) is the world’s first Airport Operations Plan (AOP) management tool. The solution provides a powerful digital twin of the airport operations and largely extends the current planning horizon of Airport CDM to support the AOP implementation in Europe and globally. DCB enables information sharing and integration with the Network Operations Plan (NOP), for example through its unique capability to calculate Target Times of Arrival (TTA).

Airport Airside Monitor

Frequentis Orthogon Airside Monitor is a solution for airport surface movement monitoring and planning, using real-time surveillance and inputs from a variety of airport and air traffic systems to enable Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) between airport stakeholders.

Airport Operations Plan

The Airport Operations Plan (AOP) is a single, shared rolling plan for an individual airport, which is created collaboratively and made available to all airport stakeholders. The AOP is the next logical step for A-CDM-compliant airports that want to predict arrival and departure demand and capacity as early as possible to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations.

Pre-Departure Sequencer

The Pre-Departure Sequencer (PDS) cuts taxi times and improves sequence and departure time predictability. PDS delivers all the capabilities needed for Airport-Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM). By optimising push back times, airports can reduce taxi times, enhance sequence and departure time predictability, and cut queues.

Morocco upgrades aeronautical message handling with Frequentis Comsoft

The Moroccan Airports Authority, ONDA (Office National Des Aéroports), entrusted Frequentis Comsoft with the upgrade of their message handling and switching capability in line with latest ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) basic and extended AMHS (ATS Message Handling System) service profiles.

Thanks to its strategic location, Morocco is an important hub for air traffic flows between many regions of the world. The continuous and secure flow of aeronautical messages is crucial to safe air traffic management, which is why upgrades to new standards and the implementation of new features are vital in preparing ONDA for the future demands and challenges of its airspace.

CAELUM and FREQUENTIS partner to develop solutions for South Korean unmanned traffic management market

CAELUM Co., Ltd, a South Korean aerospace & defense industry developer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Frequentis Singapore Pte Ltd, a global industry leader in air traffic management (ATM) systems, to work in collaboration on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) solutions in South Korea.

The MoU represents the first steps between CAELUM and Frequentis to address the growing need for next-generation traffic management systems capable of handling the unique challenges of UAM technologies, including flexible use of airspace. Initial discussions confidently advocate the combination of Frequentis’ know-how in ATM system development and manufacturing with CAELUM’s financing and project management capabilities to create a successful UTM solution. CAELUM and Frequentis have committed to further discussions in an effort to develop their joint action plan.

Frequentis to upgrade Mexican VSAT network in cooperation with ND Satcom

SENEAM, the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) of Mexico, has selected a turnkey VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) network solution from Frequentis, in cooperation with ND Satcom. The main goal of the project is to optimise the bandwidth utilisation of the satellite segment and increase the availability of all Air Traffic Management (ATM) services. The solution complies with strict requirements of the ATM domain as well as specifically supporting SENEAM’s safety-critical operations.
