Emanuel Strunz, one of the founding fathers of Frequentis, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 21st, 2011, a month before his 100th birthday.
Mr Strunz was an engineer through and through. On July 1st, 1947, together with his partner Walter Hamm, he founded the “FREQUENTIS Society for Industrial High Frequency Technology Ltd.” in Vienna. It was the birth of the company that became today's Frequentis. Over the following years, Mr Strunz put all his technical ingenuity and engineering drive into developing and growing the new company. In 1983, at the age of 72, he transferred management responsibilities to the current CEO and owner, Hannes Bardach.
We grieve for an ingenious engineer, a forward-looking and prudent chief executive, and a most lovable man who dedicated a huge portion of his life, commitment and attention to Frequentis. We send him one, final, heartfelt thank you.
In grateful memory,
The Frequentis Executive Board
