Business Culture

A good atmosphere brings forth good ideas

It's a matter of some importance to Frequentis that employees feel good about coming to work in the morning and leaving it later that day. That's why we invest in creating a positive working atmosphere, one that will stay that way into the future. We are convinced that every company has a responsibility to create a working environment that is based around the idea of dialogue. The exchange of views in informal groups or moderated forums ensures that good ideas can reach all parts of the organisation, and then be subjected to constructive discussion. This openness and communication breaks down the barriers between departments, areas of authority, countries and hierarchies. The sense of unity is reflected in a very pleasant working atmosphere, something that people outside the company constantly remark on.

Strength through diversity

A business cannot tolerate monocultures if it expects its leadership in the market to be primarily sustained by employee creativity and personal initiative. New ideas can only arise where people with different experience, backgrounds and ways of thinking get together. One of the major factors behind our corporate strengths is the diversity of our employees. Frequentis sees diversity management as, for example, an investment and not some kind of abstract obligation. We are committed to diversity, and go to great lengths to ensure equal opportunities for all, irrespective of gender, age, origin or value system and whether able-bodied or disabled. We do not tolerate discrimination in the workplace.

The work-life balance

For many people, a significant part of the day is dominated by work. We find that people tend to set their own priorities in this context and may also use the company as a strong network for organising activities. Frequentis provides active support for those trying to balance work and leisure time, with a range of benefits and support measures. On top of that, we are always open to new ideas that might make the workplace even more flexible and attractive for employees.

Bonuses and insurance

Frequentis offers very attractive basic salaries. These compare favourably to those offered elsewhere, as confirmed in annual market reviews. In profitable years, Frequentis also pays out bonuses to ensure our employees share in the company's success. Other benefits rounding out our remuneration packages include free accident insurance, restaurant vouchers and more.

Working hours

Our approach to working hours is based on self-responsibility and flexibility. Within certain limits set down to ensure business needs are met, you can work with us to define your own daily and weekly working hours and whether you might set up teleworking facilities that let you work from home. We're also open to employees taking mini-sabbaticals.

Childcare

In Vienna, we work with the "Kinder in Wien" (KIWI - "Children in Vienna") organisation. During school holidays, employees at the Vienna site can take advantage of formal childcare facilities just about anywhere in the city.

The Vital Programme

We're always optimising the conditions necessary to keep our company competitive, so employee health is something we inevitably give much thought to. Frequentis has set up its own internal health programme that undergoes continual improvement and which can be adapted to individual needs. We provide free advice and organise activities allowing people from every department to do something for their health and well-being. We offer back exercise programmes, yoga, and many other kinds of sports, as well as advice on workplace ergonomics, diet, health...and much more.

Leisure time

Many colleagues come together outside the workplace, too, to share their interest in different hobbies or sports. It makes Frequentis an altogether livelier place to be. We support these private initiatives where we can and where our help is required. Some examples of where we help out include our organised motorbike tours, inline skating meet-ups and training programmes for groups participating in marathons and other running events.
