The Frequentis Bureau de liaison France (BdLF) was officially founded in January 2001 as a local office of the parent company Frequentis, located in Vienna, Austria. The office is responsible for marketing, sales and developing business opportunities in France in the Air Traffic Management, Defence and Public Safety & Transport markets.
The Bureau de Liaison France, located close to Nice in the south of France, can build on a more than solid market situation. Since the 90’s Frequentis plays a key role in the so-called ARTEMIS programme which was set out to provide the five French en-route Air Traffic Control centres with future proof communication systems.
The BdLF has secured major significant contracts with the French civil aviation authority DGAC and with Aéroports de Paris: SIRENE (integrated radio/telephone voice communication systems for Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget airports); CAMERA (synchronised radar and voice recorder system for Charles de Gaulle airport); CARTOUM (integrated radio/telephone voice communication systems for Outre-Mer airports); 6 airports (Brest, Deauville, Rennes St. Jacques, Bastia Poretta, Ajaccio Campo Dell’Oro and Metz-Nancy Lorraine); but is also facilitating technology programmes like e.g. the licensing of electronic flight strip concepts. The BdLF offers also its liaising services between French industries and the Frequentis headquarters.
Frequentis wins with Nextiraone the RENAR contract. Tn this big contract Frequentis is in charge to realize all the gateways for more than 120 sites.
