Frequentis USA Inc. incorporated in Columbia, in the State of Maryland was founded in 1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Frequentis AG. Holding several multi-year contracts with the Federal Government and Public Safety agencies, Frequentis USA Inc. has consistently grown into a technology powerhouse for mission critical communications and information systems. The operation now comprises an ISO9001 certified manufacturing plant, a spare parts depot, repair and maintenance center, hardware and software design, and all support departments needed to successfully deliver on Federal and local Government indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) programs, as well as compliance to various standards and recommended practices for Government contracts. With the incorporation of its subsidiary Frequentis Defense Inc. in 2004 the company has now extended its portfolio into the defense market. 

In March 2010 Frequentis acquired Global Weather Inc., to be incorporated into the newly opened Frequentis California, Inc. in Monterey near San Fancisco. As a 100% subsidiary of Frequentis AG, Frequentis California, Inc. develops and markets aeronautical message handling systems, and aeronautical information management (AIM) products worldwide.
