Radar Data Network
Radar data is one of the core decision support tools for any air traffic controller. Distribution and availability of relevant radar data also needs to fit into the network concept that drives modern, state-of-the-art air traffic management.
Frequentis offers low-cost, efficient and reliable systems for transmission of radar data from selected radar stations directly to the radar data processing systems available to controllers.
The radar data network can be used as a fall-back system when the primary distribution equipment at an ATC centre fails. The system monitors radar data traffic and cuts in when it detects a break in the data stream.
It can also be used as the primary radar data transmission and distribution source at small regional airports and towers which do not have direct access to expensive dedicated radar networks.
